Our Client is restarting a Gold Mine in the Central Highlands of Papaua New Guinea and needs an experienced Civil Infrastructure Superintendent to lead the delivery and maintenance of critical site infrastructure in a remote, high-rainfall environment.
Candidates will manage construction and upkeep of mine access roads, drainage systems, airstrip infrastructure, camp facilities and water management systems. Day-to-day, you'll coordinate civil contractors, supervise earthmoving crews, manage the site fleet (excavators, graders, dump trucks, rollers), and ensure all works meet engineering standards, safety requirements and project schedules.
What's required
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 8–10+ years in civil construction, mining infrastructure or heavy civil works
- Proven experience in remote or large-scale infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of road construction, drainage, erosion control and earthmoving operations
- Hands-on leadership with the ability to manage contractors and coordinate across operations, engineering and logistics teams
