A well-funded ASX explorer is seeking a hands-on geologist to lead a 10,000m RC and diamond drilling programme targeting copper-gold in Far North Queensland. Reporting directly to the MD, you'll own the programme end-to-end — targets, contractors, budget and results — with a clear pathway to a broader Exploration Manager role as the company grows.
The position
- Site lead for all drilling operations — contractors, crews and consultants
- Geological interpretation, target refinement and 3D modelling (Leapfrog preferred)
- Landholder and Traditional Owner engagement; access and heritage management
- Budget ownership, cost-per-metre discipline and contractor performance
- Daily and weekly reporting through to board-level updates
Candidates will have
- A track record running remote field drilling programmes independently
- Strong structural geology, targeting and data interpretation skills
- Advanced GIS and 3D modelling capability
- Experience engaging respectfully with landholders and Indigenous communities
- Commercial discipline and the ability to make decisions under pressure
