Spinwell Global are working with a regional enterprise for the mining and oil and gas sectors. Currently they have a senior, hands-on leadership position responsible for revitalising an organisation's estimating and bid management function to drive growth and profitability across construction, modular camps, remote infrastructure, and facilities management projects.
Responsibilities
- Estimating – Prepare detailed cost estimates (first-principles), BOQs, and pricing models tailored to local operating conditions
- Tender Management – Own the full tender lifecycle from opportunity through to submission
- Commercial & Risk – Develop pricing strategies, assess risks, and support contract negotiations
- Team Leadership – Mentor the estimating team, establish processes, and build a performance culture
- Digital Transformation – Introduce modern estimating tools, cost databases, and workflow automation
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering (professional accreditation desirable)
- Strong background in modular construction, remote/resource sector projects (mining, oil & gas)
- Familiarity with frontier or remote market operating environments
- Proficient in estimating software, Excel, and cost modelling
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of driving organisational change
