Spinwell is recruiting for a Data Management Coordinator for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DATA MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR
- To add, maintain and update the substance dictionary and new substance database in a timely manner within deadlines.
- Respond to requests for addition and amendment of organisation name, address and contact data, and other reference data, within deadlines.
- Investigate appropriate information sources to ensure the accuracy, avoiding duplication, of data added to system dictionaries.
- Advise on the correct use of terms within the system dictionaries.
- Support the Digital Enablement function with administrative tasks.
- Support applying data quality improvements across a range of datasets.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE DATA MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR
- Managing a Quality Service - Works with a high degree of accuracy and with meticulous attention to detail. Work with customers to understand their needs and expectations. Keep colleagues and stakeholders fully informed of plans, possibilities and progress. Identify common problems that affect service, report them and find possible solutions. Deliver good customer service which balances quality and cost effectiveness.
- Communicating and Influencing - Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Take time to consider the best communication channel to use for the audience. Interact with others in an enthusiastic way. Express ideas clearly and with respect for others. Listen to and value different ideas, views and ways of working. - Interest and awareness in data management and analytics.
- Good information search skills.
- A life science degree with a good knowledge of chemistry; or degree in chemistry, or equivalent, with a good knowledge of biology; or a combined chemistry and biology/biological science/biomedical science degree; or equivalent experience.
