Role: Establishment Management Advisor REF 374336
Contract Length: 4-5 months from the start date
Location: Hybrid/Portishead, Bristol – generally once a week in office
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £18.62 per hour

 

Spinwell is recruiting for an Establishment Management Advisor for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ESTABLISHMENT MANAGEMENT ADVISOR

  • Maintain the integrity of the organisation structure data held on computerised systems and create organisational structures as necessary allocating staff to appropriate posts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in relation to all establishment management processes, dealing with queries, conducting research, and resolving problems using initiative, experience, and contacts. Provide expert advice as to the best way to achieve desired changes within the rules of the organisation's structure processes.
  • Quality assure all data received, carrying out necessary research to provide clarity as to the change being requested. Challenge the originator if necessary, suggesting alternative solutions to the issue in question. Direct the requests for change to the appropriate approving authority ensuring that all necessary detail is available.
  • Monitor organisational establishment data, conducting audits of the system and changes made to the system on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of workforce data, highlighting any discrepancies, trends and changes, taking corrective action where necessary allowing good organisational decision making.
  • Ensuring that all work is delivered to a high quality within agreed timescales and parameters and in line with client procedures, and that a responsive and comprehensive service to stakeholders is maintained.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with managers, HR, Finance and Workforce Planning colleagues ensuring early oversight of proposed organisational changes within specified directorates/departments.
  • To assist in the provision of financial control, liaising with other teams as appropriate, ensuring systems and processes are efficiently linked.
  • To support the maintenance and monitoring of the Workforce Establishment Management Control mailbox to provide an effective and efficient establishment control provision to the Constabulary by responding to, and actioning email requests in a timely manner ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Attending relevant meetings, such as directorate meetings, to link in with Finance and HR Business Partners, to provide background information where necessary.
