Spinwell is recruiting for a General Worker for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GENERAL WORKER
- Assist engineers, technicians and skilled workers with daily tasks.
- Load, unload, move and organise materials and equipment.
- Prepare work areas, materials and equipment for engineering activities
- Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties in the work areas.
- Assist with basic assembly, dismantling, as supervised.
- Use basic hand tools and equipment safely when trained and authorised.
- Follow company health and safety procedures and correctly use required PPE.
- Report hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Assist with deliveries and storage of materials.
- Work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE GENERAL WORKER
- Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing, construction workshop, or similar environment is desirable
- Good practical and manual skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physically capable of carrying out manual work and handling materials
- Basic understanding of workplace health and safety
