Spinwell is recruiting for a Business Partner for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BUSINESS PARTNER
As a Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence Business Partner, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of commercial, technology and delivery experts from various home organisations working as one team towards the same goals and outcomes. You are an expert in all things technical commercial, lead by example and role model the Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence culture.
You will:
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the allocated departmental area, in effect acting as an account manager for their allocated client areas and their primary point of contact for the Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence.
- Work with teams in your assigned areas to engage early and gather their input and requirements to shape the long-term commercial programme deliverables within the Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence.
- Ensure stakeholders understand the scope of Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence and how it interfaces with existing Commercial and Technology functions.
- Gain consensus and feedback from allocated stakeholders feeding in to the programme and sharing updates and challenges back with stakeholders across the commercial and technical scope of the programme.
- Commercial tasks associated with the Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence programmes are completed in line with agreed milestones and achieve the outcomes required.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE BUSINESS PARTNER
- An experienced senior Commercial officer with strong commercial and procurement strategy experience, with demonstrable knowledge in the technical commercial landscape.
- You’ll want to work collaboratively across functions and organisations to champion early commercial engagement and be the face of the Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence.
- You will have a sufficient understanding of procurement regulations and commercial policy to be able to recognise where current policy impedes fast-paced acquisition and could be adapted to better fit the Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence innovation and digital acquisition scenarios.
- You are a problem-solver, able to identify opportunities to improve how the Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence serves its stakeholders and willing to roll up your sleeves to develop solutions that deliver great outcomes.
- The Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence is a new team so you will be comfortable working in an environment where pre-determined answers may not be available and will happily take on the challenges associated with creating certainty out of ambiguity.
- You will consistently demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills, able to manage complex stakeholder groups with competing agendas.
