Location: Hybrid/Kidlington and Winchester - 1-2 days per week on site (Attendance at both sites will be expected)

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £550 per day

About the Role
Spinwell is recruiting for a Power BI Consultant an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct technical support to our performance analyst/developer SMEs, working with them to help them improve their use of Power BI alongside a SQL Datawarehouse, and in particular Power BI semantic models[M(6] [O(7]
- Supporting the development of requirements for our warehouse developers to improve the design of the data warehouse, supporting efficient and effective data usage
- Designing and delivering informal training to small groups, enabling them to get started and improve their working practices
- Be hands on, building commissioned Power BI semantic models from detailed requirements to support the teams with short term capacity gaps
- Supporting teams to understand business requirements and turn these into technical solutions
- Working with leadership in the performance teams to help them explore what future models of working may look like in their areas, following industry best practice
Essential Skills and Experience
- Power BI: Building datasets, reports, administration of the Power BI Service
- DAX and M
- T-SQL, including connecting to SQL data sources from Power BI, and a good understanding of query folding
- Data Modelling & Dataset Design
- Training experience[M(8]
- Working in a mentoring/support/consultancy capacity
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Fabric DP-600
- Microsoft Certified Trainer
