Pay Rate to Intermediary: £500 per day

About the Role
Spinwell is recruiting for a Funding & Treasury Accountant an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Treasury and capital accounting
- Fixed assets, including year-end
- Bank and cash reconciliations
- VAT returns and Making Tax Digital
- Collection Fund accounting
- Agresso, with practical experience of populating and working within the system
- Engaging confidently with external investment and funding contacts
Essential Skills and Experience
- Technical accounting knowledge to work credibly with the wider finance team and build strong relationships with the other accountants.
- There is also an important leadership element to the role. Ideally needing someone with the gravitas and experience to step up and run the team should this be required.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience working within Defence, Government or National Security environments.
- Understanding of service management, enterprise architecture and systems integration principles.
- Experience managing programmes involving multiple suppliers and delivery partners.
- Knowledge of Defence governance and investment approval processes
