Spinwell is recruiting for a Consultant Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONSULTANT ENGINEER
The role will support the project delivery from RIBA Stage 1 to RIBA Stage 6 and the defects period thereafter, ensuring Capital Projects meet the client standards for building services and uphold sustainability targets.
This will involve reviewing the servicing strategy developed by the design team, including standby power, UPS systems, life safety systems, lightning protection, lighting and HVAC systems, providing support to the project manager.
As the design develops, the MEP Manager will advise the project manager on issues such as any proposed derogations and compensation events related to building services and also carry out site inspections during the construction phase, and during the defects period.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CONSULTANT ENGINEER
- Highly experienced Charter Engineer (CIBSE / IET)
- Experience dealing with large high value (£100m+) construction projects
- Experience working at one of the engineering consultancies/contractors listed
