Spinwell is recruiting for a Commercial Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMERCIAL OFFICER
- Provide support to the Commercial managers with a range of tasks, including administrative duties, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Handling correspondence, managing data, and maintaining records related to commercial activities.
- Assist in the undertaking of supply market analysis to ensure an effective understanding of the market dynamics to inform appropriate commercial strategies.
- Actively support the creation of programme plans, procurement and contracting strategies.
- Assisting with the end-to-end procurement process, including market research, tendering, and contract management.
- Preparing reports on commercial activities and performance.
- Contributing to the development of commercial strategies and sourcing plans whilst adhering to Defence commercial policy and Procurement Regulations
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE COMMERCIAL OFFICER
- Someone with a flexible and resilient approach, capable of supporting in an uncertain and adapting environment.
- Good communication skills (written, verbal and presentational) with the ability to adapt communication style and language to fit the needs of the audience.
- Motivated individual with a proven track record of supporting delivery.
- Has the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop insight.
- Understanding of commercial principles and practices
- Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of public sector procurement regulations.
- Has completed the New Transforming Public Procurement (TPP) e- training or is willing to undertake it.
- Hands on experience of supporting tenders through CCS Frameworks.
- Experience of supporting end to end sourcing.
- Proficient MS Word and Excel skills.
- Essential – L4 CIPS or equivalent or a minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience.
