Role: Organisational Change Advisor
Contract Length:
6 months
Location: Hybrid/London - Minimum once a week in-office, but may increase during consultation periods.
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: Up to £35.27 per hour

Spinwell is recruiting for an Organisational Change Advisor for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ORGANISATIONAL CHANGE ADVISOR

  • Lead or support the delivery of change strategies, plans, and interventions to enable organisational transformation.
  • Partner with senior leaders, HR, communications, and programme teams as relevant to ensure a consistent and inclusive approach to change.
  • Undertake impact assessments and readiness reviews to identify and mitigate change-related risks.
  • Draft full consultation proposals, supporting documents including change protocols aligned to the target operating model workstreams, and their impact on roles, structures, and working practices
  • Design and implement change communication and consultation strategies and plans with individuals and trade unions, tailoring to different audience groups to ensure clarity of message and an empathetic approach
  • Ensuring legal compliance and best-practice employee relations
  • Support the design and facilitation of stakeholder engagement, workshops, and training to build awareness and ownership of change.
  • Develop and implement change communication strategies tailored to different audience groups.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on change progress, outcomes, and staff sentiment.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE ORGANISATIONAL CHANGE ADVISOR

  • Proven track record in employee relations, leading organisational change, and managing projects—ideally in conjunction with employee representatives/forums and trade unions
  • Shown ability on developing successful change approach, with accepted recommendations, identifying and mitigating risks into account
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to create change plans and manage competing priorities and work within tight timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation, coaching, influencing, and negotiating
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, sensitive conversations, resolve conflicts, and foster trust among diverse stakeholders.
  • Skilled in developing change tools such as impact assessments, change roadmaps, project plans, communication plans, and engagement materials.
  • Evidence of building change capability in managers to ensure alignment, buyin, and effective execution of change
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and advisory capabilities.
