Location: Hybrid/Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Blackpool or Glasgow – 60% office based

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £500 per day
Security Clearance: BPSS
Spinwell is recruiting for an Asbestos Specialist for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASBESTOS SPECIALIST
- Lead asbestos management across the client estate, ensuring compliance and safety.
- Maintain and update asbestos registers, surveys, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with consultants and contractors to ensure effective performance and compliance.
- Provide technical advice and support on asbestos-related issues.
- Review documentation and oversee corrective actions.
- Support data collection and analysis for asset management.
- Assist in audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to policy development and strategic planning.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE ASBESTOS SPECIALIST
- Extensive experience managing asbestos across large estates.
- Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and compliance.
- Experience working with outsourced teams and consultants.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational and audit experience.
- BOHS P402 & P405 (or equivalent)
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
