Role: Instructional Designer REF 96822
Contract Length: 12 months – part time 10 days per month
Location: Exeter – 3 days onsite every 2 months
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate

Spinwell is recruiting for an Instructional Designer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER

  • Apply Instructional Design methodologies (eg. ADDIE) to develop scalable and effective learning solutions.
  • Work with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and key internal teams to define training needs, learning objectives, and learner parameters.
  • Create engaging, learner-centred instructional materials, including e-learning modules, explainer videos, instructor-led training, blended learning solutions, and job aids.
  • Develop content in a variety of formats, ensuring they are aligned with organisational needs and ensuring all learning solutions are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with relevant training best practice, policies and standards.
  • Use learning technologies and platforms (e.g., LMS, authoring tools, video editing software) to deliver and manage content effectively.
  • Support SMEs to develop learning content through, for example, the creation of templates and written/video guidance.
  • Evaluate and test learning materials to ensure effectiveness, making iterative improvements based on feedback.

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER

  • Must be an experienced Instructional Designer
  • Knowledge of the Learning design process
  • Developing learning content
  • Advanced skills in Rise360
  • Working level understanding of storyline360
  • Advanced video editing
  • Availability to own content creation and publishing software
  • Understanding of the practical applications of AI in learning design
  • Ability to challenge ideas and offer learning solutions.
