About The Role

Role: Case Reviewer REF 100189
Contract Length: 2 years (this role is adhoc, and not a 5 day a week role. It is dependent on how many cases you are working on. You will however be required to support current case reviewers.
Location: Fully remote
IR35: Outside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £305 per day
Security Clearance: SC requested


Spinwell is recruiting for a Case Reviewer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CASE REVIEWER

  • Leading independent reviews of the outcomes of investigations into complaints about the conduct of members of the Service police and Service police forces, in accordance with the Service Police (Complaints etc.) Regulations 2023.
  • Assisting the client in fulfilling their responsibilities under data protection legislation, including freedom of information and subject access requests.
  • Drafting reports and other correspondence.
  • Communicating with complainants and Service police colleagues.
  • Identifying potential learning for Service police to improve the services they provide and uphold trust and confidence in the Service Police complaints system.
  • Supporting client’s investigative cohort with legislative queries.
  • Manage data and confidential, government-sensitive information.

     

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CASE REVIEWER

  • A barrister authorised by the Bar Council to practise in England and Wales OR a solicitor, admitted by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority and authorised to practise in England and Wales with a minimum of two years PQE.
  • Sound legal knowledge, including an ability to understand and apply the Service Police (Complaints etc.) Regulations 2023.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • The ability to exercise sound judgement, using existing and emerging information to reach independent decisions.
  • Working knowledge of disclosure principles.
  • A full UK driving licence.
