Role: Project Engineer REF 100381
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Deeside, Flintshire - full time on site
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £26.52 per hour
Security Clearance: SC requested

Spinwell is recruiting for a Project Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROJECT ENGINEER

  • Lead the management of projects, including but not limited to planning, organising and overseeing all project activities.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of system requirements including in-service support.
  • Effective creation of business cases, with consideration of strategic context, economic analysis, commercial approaches, financial cases, and management approaches
  • Participate in identification, selection, evaluation, performance verification and demonstrations within their technical area.
  • Maintain safety risk as low as reasonably practicable for the equipment they manage working in partnership with the equipment Engineering Authority.
  • Financial Management. Support product Forecast of Outturn, In-Year Management, and Annual Business Cycle reporting.

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PROJECT ENGINEER

  • Level 4 qualification and advanced/higher apprenticeship; or Level 3 qualification, a nationally recognised engineering apprenticeship and some engineering experience within their discipline or specialism area.
  • Holds eligibility to meet the criteria of professional Registration of EngTech, in accordance with the UK-SPEC.
  • Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
  • Demonstrable engineering background – ideally mechanical bias
  • Project delivery capability within engineering/technical environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
