Contract Length: 6 months
Location: London/Manchester (willing to travel to London for regular team meetings)

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £625 - £650 per day

Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior Delivery Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR DELIVERY MANAGER
• Support the implementation of the supplier strategy for major partners and emerging technology suppliers to government, through development, launch, iteration and implementation in partnership with commercial colleagues.
• Work regularly and closely senior officials and digital, data and technology leaders across government to support the delivery of projects that involve the effective purchasing and investments of key strategic technologies of the public sector in the UK. This will include providing flexible, agile strategic support as demands and events require it.
• Lead on organisation and delivery of events in collaboration with suppliers that encourage engagement, join up and exploration of future opportunities that align with the overarching strategic goals.
• Partner closely with Government Commercial Agency and other departmental colleagues, to understand and implement effective governance, risk management and reporting to departmental boards and against wider strategic priorities such as the Blueprint for Modern Digital Government.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SENIOR DELIVERY MANAGER
• The ability to support the head of supplier relationship management by leading and overseeing the delivery of their strategy, removing blockers, managing risks and effectively navigating governance processes.
• Confidence in managing dependencies of high complexity and strategic importance, planning and feeding into the wider Digital Commercial Centre of Excellence portfolio of work.
• The ability to confidently manage and communicate information about the project to complex stakeholder and supplier groups, balancing priorities and understanding sensitivities.
• Experience working closely with external suppliers, building strong relationships with them in order to support the delivery of initiatives and events that are of strategic importance.
• An in-depth knowledge of Agile and other methodologies, proficiency in Jira and the ability to lead on the development of your project in Jira would be of benefit.
• Overall, you will be a team player with a positive outlook that is able to navigate ambiguity and change as the strategy develops, the team is currently growing at pace and so a degree of flexibility and adaptability would be advantageous
