Role: Public Protection Officer x 26 REF 102261
Contract Length: Until 31/03/2027
Location: Hybrid/Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, Croydon or Peterborough - 3 days per week
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £300 per day
Security Clearance: CTC requested


Spinwell is recruiting for a Public Protection Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PUBLIC PROTECTION OFFICER

  • Plan, co-ordinate and conduct investigations in collaboration with Assistant Director Investigators, Principal Investigation Officers and Senior Investigation Officers.
  • Assist with applications to the High Court for search warrants and with on-site investigations using formal powers.
  • Comply with statutory duties and procedural requirements in all investigatory activity and analyse, assess and present to the team leaders, the evidence gathered in the course of an investigation identifying whether it is sufficient to proceed and to assist in drafting appropriate documentation.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PUBLIC PROTECTION OFFICER

  • Recent and in-depth experience managing high-risk offenders, ideally within an asylum or criminal justice setting.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and offender management frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within MAPPA and other multi-agency environments.
  • Experience delivering tailored interventions and rehabilitation plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and complex cases.
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to public service values
