Spinwell is recruiting for a Team Manager (Resident Engagement) for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TEAM MANAGER (RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT)

  • Lead all resident engagement activities, co-design, consultation and scrutiny initiatives to ensure residents influence decision-making at all levels.
  • You will build strong relationships with residents and key stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, particularly the Transparency, Influence & Accountability standard.
  • Develop and deliver Dudley’s Resident Engagement Strategy, ensuring resident feedback leads to measurable improvements to service design and delivery.
  • Develop innovative engagement methods to reach seldom-heard voices across Dudley Council homes.
  • Champion meaningfully resident engagement across the Housing & Assets group, ensuring the tenant voice is reflected across the breadth of services delivered.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE TEAM MANAGER (RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT)

  • Extensive experience in resident engagement, scrutiny and co-design within social housing or a similar regulated sector
  • Holds/working towards/prepared to undertake CIH Level 5 Qualification
  • Experience of developing and delivering a Resident Engagement Strategy to ensure tenants and resident are given a wide range of opportunities to influence service delivery and design
  • Expertise in implementing the Transparency, Influence & Accountability Standard
  • Experience of managing budgets, performance and risk in the delivery of operational services
  • Commitment to ensuring high levels of probity, transparency and governance/standards in public life
  • A strong track record of managing and motivating teams, driving performance and fostering collaboration
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of engagement methods and the ability to deliver training and support to teams across the Housing and Assets Group
  • Proven ability to lead by example, act with integrity in alignment with the Council’s professional standards, values, and behaviours, consistently modelling these attributes
  • Politically astute, acting in line with the Nolan principles in public life
  • Excellent relationship management skills, capable of working effectively with members, partners and customers
  • Visible, approachable and accountable for self and others, seeing errors as opportunities for learning.
  • Experience of working with tenant panels, scrutiny group, TRA’s and customer assurance boards
  • Driven and self-motivated with a clear sense of purpose
  • Flexible, responsive and resilient to changing demands and priorities
  • Aware of own strengths and areas needing improvement, with a commitment to addressing these areas.
