Spinwell is recruiting for a HR Assistant Advisor for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE HR ASSISTANT ADVISOR

  • Management of HR cases including but not exclusive to Attendance Managements, Flexible Working applications, Occupational Health referrals, Interest in acting processes, internal transfer processes, acting/temporary processes, etc. with support from the HR Advisers as required.
  • Providing support to the HR Advisers and HR Business Partner on the management of limited duties processes including recuperative reviews, adjusted duties processes and adjusted duties annual reviews.
  • Provide HR advice and guidance to Senior Leadership Teams and line managers on HR related matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, terms and conditions and policies and procedures.
  • Supporting stakeholders with fairness at work and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure a comprehensive audit trail of case management, including updating systems, notetaking, preparation of formal letters, maintaining case files and ensuring a written record of decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with strategic and operational Line Managers.
  • General administration for systems, cross referencing case trackers to ensure consistency of information across all platforms and case files.
  • Liaise with the payroll department to ensure timely receipt of information relating to contract and role changes.
  • Supporting and working closely with Senior Leadership Teams on cases such as absence, limited duties and advising on establishment management.
  • Produce data for Senior Leadership (or other) meetings as required.
  • Support the wider HR team with tasks as required, carrying out any other duties that may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the role.
  • Coordinating work activities for the HR Operations Team, answering general queries and distributing tasks as required.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE HR ASSISTANT ADVISOR

  • Previous experience in a HR Administrative role
  • Can work in a challenging fast paced environment, whilst working on multiple activities and to specific deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Experience in computer systems including all Microsoft programmes (Word, Team, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • To be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Genuine desire to improve organisational performance and make a difference
  • Motivated to work as part of a team and support and co-operate with colleagues
  • Self-motivated to learn and develop existing skills in HR processes and employment law
