Role: Senior Lawyer - Child Protection REF 1752488
Contract Length: 12 weeks+
Location: Hybrid/Peterborough (Attendance at court is required, office attendance is flexible, ideal is 2–3 times per week)
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £55-£60 per hour
Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior Lawyer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR LAWYER
- Manage a Child Protection caseload from legal planning meetings through to final hearings
- Conduct legal planning meetings and Public Law Outline meetings
- Handle Child Protection proceedings
- Attend and undertake advocacy work
- Manage urgent Interim Care Order (ICO) hearings
- Prepare and conduct own advocacy
- Deal with deprivation of liberty matters
- Handle discharge of care order applications
- Manage reduction and discharge applications
- Provide support with duty solicitor/lawyer rota slots
- Undertake general Child Protection casework
