Spinwell is recruiting for a Logistics Operative for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LOGISTICS OPERATIVE
- Conduct activities related to the safe receipt, storage, maintenance, and issue of materiel in line with local and central health and safety policies.
- Utilise Logistics Information Systems (Log IS) to select stock for issue or receipt and prepare all necessary documentation.
- Prepare shipping containers by stuffing and de-stuffing to ensure timely delivery, including completion of relevant consignment paperwork.
- Load and unload materiel safely and efficiently, adhering to current operating procedures.
- Validate all paperwork, including labelling, and accurately locate assets for storage.
- Process shipping documents and coordinate asset release for work, liaising effectively with customers and warehouse personnel.
- Maintain up-to-date records within Logistic Information Systems (Log IS).
- Communicate with customers to provide all necessary information to fulfil demands.
- Handle classified equipment with care, ensuring its secure movement to and storage within the warehouse.
