Location: Hybrid/London – 2 days in office per week

Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate

Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior Commercial Policy Advisor for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR COMMERCIAL POLICY ADVISOR

  • Review and analyse evidence produced by contractors.
  • Apply commercial policy knowledge and stakeholder insight to identify supply chain and market risks.
  • Undertake targeted research into specific risk areas.
  • Develop draft proposals, recommendations, and policy options.
  • Engage and collaborate with industry stakeholders.
  • Lead workshops, including designing content and facilitating discussions.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and incorporate this into revised proposals and draft outputs.
  • Liaise regularly with senior leaders and key decision-makers.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SENIOR COMMERCIAL POLICY ADVISOR

  • Strong supply chain experience, ideally involving complex supply networks and multiple suppliers.
  • Ability to work with data, analyse findings, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
  • Experience managing external stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Confidence in organising and delivering workshops and engagement events.
  • Strong written communication skills, with most stakeholder engagement taking place via email.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Comfortable facilitating in-person workshops and presenting to a range of audiences.
  • The ideal candidate will combine analytical capability with strong stakeholder engagement skills. They will be comfortable translating complex research into practical recommendations, managing relationships with industry partners, and presenting findings to senior audiences
