Contract Length: 240 working days over 12-month period
Location: Hybrid/Salisbury – 2-3 days per week on site

Spinwell is recruiting for a Commercial Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMERCIAL MANAGER
- Responsible for assessing the existing Commercial landscape and reviewing the impact on programme delivery.
- Design and implement approaches which ensure the right outcome for the department.
- Lead on Supplier integration with regards to relationship and cost impact.
- Able to clarify the ability to terminate current contracts, working with programme finance leads to understand impact and realisation of any potential benefits.
- Capable of renegotiating existing contracts.
- Manage the impact of existing Commercial financial models.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the incumbent Suppliers and the department.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE COMMERCIAL MANAGER
- Experience with Public Contract Regulations, Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations.
- Worked in a commercial environment involving infrastructure works and soft and hard facilities management.
- Experience of NEC contracting, specifically Engineering Construction Contracts (ECC) and Professional Service Contracts (PSC), including an awareness of NEC 3 or 4 contracting. NEC 4 is preferred.
- Managing communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders will be required.
- Ability to communicate priorities and business plans to internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring that all programmes and projects deliver to time, cost and quality.
- Public sector experience is preferred
- Background in one or more of the following:
- Construction
- Estates
- Facilities
