Location: Lympstone, Devon – full time on site
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £16.67 per hour
Security Clearance: BPSS

 

Spinwell is recruiting for a Storekeeper for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STOREKEEPER

  • Assist in daily movement, issue and receipt of equipment. Prepare weapons and ancillary equipment for issue in accordance with the training programme as published on TAFMIS. Complete Dangerous Goods paperwork as required.
  • Carry out loading and unloading of all stores and freight in accordance with current legislation including handling of Radioactive materials. Use of Forklift Truck and other MHE and manual handling techniques.
  • Take all appropriate accounting actions on the Supply Chain Management Software, Management of Joint Defence Inventory (MJDI). Maintain the equipment held on account to ensure serviceability and cleanliness.
  • Provide support to other areas of the logistics department, or conduct any other tasks commensurate with grade, as required by line manager or Unit Logistics Officer.

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE STOREKEEPER

    • Previous experience working in a Logistics/Stores Role
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Competent in use of Office 365
    • Qualified Forklift Driver – highly desirable
    • Store Accounting experience – desirable
