Spinwell is recruiting for a Performance & Accountability Support Officer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PERFORMANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY SUPPORT OFFICER
- Provide day to day business support services to ensure the effective running of the Performance and Governance workstream focusing on the needs of the PCP and TDISB.
- To support the Director of Performance and Accountability and Senior Performance and Governance Manager with the co-ordination and administration of these business areas as directed as well as any other area of business within the scope of Performance and Governance.
- Provide proactive support and facilitation for key meetings - primarily PCP and the TDISB including co-ordinating submissions, scheduling, production and distribution of agendas and papers, taking and circulating minutes and monitoring completion of actions. Ensure meeting records represent an accurate account and include all relevant decisions, comments and issues.
- Liaise with external representatives as required to ensure the smooth running and co-ordination of both the PCP and TD ISB,
- Effectively manage and process expense claims for the TD ISB members.
- Manage and respond to all enquiries in relation to the PCP and ISB.
- Organise and support meetings and briefings. Assist with venue and event logistics for meetings as directed. Book catering/refreshments as required.
- Work with the Local Criminal Justice Board co-ordinator to ensure that information is shared between the TD ISB and the LCJB and a co-ordinated approach is maintained.
- Support the running and co-ordination of the OPCC Anti Racism and Performance and Accountability Directorate meeting including scheduling, minutes, actions and papers.
- Manage confidential information with discretion, ensuring such information is safeguarded appropriately.
- To support with the handling of public contacts as and when required.
- Communicate effectively with staff members of the public and stakeholders. Demonstrate professional and efficient customer service skills in all interactions.
- Work closely with other colleagues to improve operational practices, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Maintain and operate efficient and effective record keeping and filing systems, ensuring they are updated and information is stored and disposed of appropriately.
- Maintain professional awareness and horizon scan for future developments, with a commitment to own personal and professional organisational development.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the OPCC values, equality and diversity through actions and activities.
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably commensurate with role.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PERFORMANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY SUPPORT OFFICER
- Experience and/or knowledge within a local authority, policing or relevant public or voluntary sector organisation.
- Previous experience of working in an administrative role.
- Experience of providing support for meetings and events
- Ability to manage a large and diverse portfolio of work with competing deadlines. Ability to be flexible to respond to changing priorities
- Ability to analyse and present information in a range of formats.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Understanding of confidentiality and information governance.
- Strong ICT skills and competent to use a range of IT packages including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Proven ability to handle stakeholder interface effectively and professionally in a way that establishes confidence, credibility and trust.
- Strong detail orientated, organisational and planning skills
